Lichtblick Kino is an intimate, independent arthouse cinema located at Kastanienallee 77 in Berlin's Prenzlauer Berg district. Established in 1995 by the collective Stattkino Berlin e.V., it occupies a former butcher's shop and apartment in the oldest building in the neighborhood. With just 32 seats, it is one of the smallest cinemas in Berlin, offering a unique and cozy atmosphere for film enthusiasts.

The cinema's programming focuses on arthouse films, classics, documentaries, short films, retrospectives, and politically engaged productions. Regular events include series like "EXBlicks" and "One World Berlin." Screenings often feature discussions with filmmakers, fostering a close connection between the audience and the creators. Lichtblick Kino operates without state funding or advertising revenue, emphasizing its commitment to independent and collective cultural work.
